Running gear with an Unwonted running vest

We've been testing some new samples at our Unwonted dungeon of gadgets and one we are really excited for is our Unwonted running vest!  Including some awesome bottles to go with them.

Well...what is a running vest? And why would I need one?

One of the main reasons these are used is to keep athletes hydrated on longer runs.  Now this really depends on your level of running and temperature during your run.  Especially during extreme conditions these are perfect to keep you hydrated and performing at your peak! 

You usually have 1 or 2 small bottles on your chest, around 150-500ml and these sometimes have little straws which stick up so you can still run and have a sip without stopping, pretty nifty!  And on the back is usually a larger compartment which holds a 'bladder' style bottle and this can hold anything from 1-3 litres!  Really good for long distance runners such half marathon, full marathons and ultra marathons.

Also included on the front of the vest are a magnitude of pockets, zips and netting, to hold your keys, wallets, cards, phones, snacks and bars!  So everything is within easy reaching distance and allowing you to keep going without stops and starts, we all know how hard it is to stop to and having to accelerate again!

Some other great features, they are one size fits most....so they come with plenty of adjustable buckles to strap and tighten again you so nothing is flopping about during your runs.  All in a compact light weight and breathable vest, these will allow you to survive your few hours out in the wild.

This all sounds awesome...but how much are they you might be asking!

Well these vary dramatically from £30-100 depending on quality, branding and whether they come with bottles, bladders etc.  As always Unwonted will always try get the very best materials and build quality at a reasonable price.  So fingers crossed we can come in to the lower/middle end of this price point, more updates on this once we have tested all our samples and confirm a price with our manufacturer.
